We still put him on the potty for 3-5 minutes at a time, every 10-15 minutes, and if he's just gone we leave him off for 30-45 minutes, checking him every few minutes for "dry pants". Today he even POOPED in the potty one time (on Daddy Chase's watch)! This is a big deal, believe it or not, because usually this is something that comes WAY down the road. I'm not expecting him to do that regularly, but it's a start!
Here is what the last 10 days have looked like for us:
This is Miles having a meltdown in the bathroom because I wouldn't let him dig through the trash can full of nasty diapers and snotty tissues (PUH-LEASE)! :)
and then this is Miles SOOOO excited to have a potty of his own!
Keeping Chase entertained...
He and Miles LOVE their Yo Gabba Gabba boom box!
As frustrating and horrible as this process has been, it gives me nothing but pure joy to see Chase accomplish something that gives him independence and pride. I can tell from the look on his face how proud of himself he is (when he goes) and I am so proud for him. It makes the last 10 days soooooo worth it. I know we still have a long road ahead, but I think it will be majority down hill at this point!
You amaze me EVERY day Chase Herndon! Thank you for teaching me patience and perseverance!
