A Much-Needed "Time Out"

This past weekend Chase and I got a rare opportunity to go away for the weekend BY OURSELVES!!!  We were invited to the wedding of a longtime friend who I also went to college with, so we took it as an opportunity to get away and catch up with old friends!  And it was MUCH NEEDED!  Laisse Le Bon Temps Roulez!  New Orleans he we come!

Things have been stressful lately, especially when it comes to money, so we really didn't NEED to spend the extra money to go, but we were so desperate for time away and together that we didn't care.  It's been a loooong time since we went anywhere by ourselves so we felt we were due.   We hardly spend money to go out to eat so this was a special treat!

We took full advantage of our time away, and ate and drank our way through New Orleans.  We woke up when we wanted to (which was still too early for "vacation" - out of habit) and enjoyed every minute of seeing and catching up with dear friends!

It was the perfect way to unwind and "refresh" or "restart" before getting back in to the swing of things with the boys Monday morning.  Although, it has taken me a little while longer to recover than it used to!  Guess I'm out of practice and just can't hang like I used to!  haha!
